  Jeremiah Films: Witnesses of Jehovah

  anybody else seen this film (he asks knowing that loads probably have) - the documentary was released in 1986 and features raymond franz and other key ex-jws at that time.

  the style of presentation is very 70s.

  i managed to grab a high quality mpg from a friend.

  Valid alternatives to the door to door preaching work?

  ok - so i had a talk/debate with a guy today who insists that he sees "nobody else talking about the end of the world" and that "the door to door work the jws perform is the best way to preach.

  this guy has a brother who is disfellowshipped.

  he has never been baptized, yet has an ongoing interest and believes the jws are a special people.

  The magazines...

  a friend of mine who is disfellowshipped wonders whether it is wtbts policy to let him have the magazines still and frankly, i can't remember.

  i told him that i believe it is their policy not to let him have the mags, but i'm not actually that sure.

  any ideas you clever people?

  When the desire to preach dies.

  i have realized lately that i am far less "preachy" than i used to be and as a result, i do not feel as far up my own backside as i used to.. i think my ego is finally, finally, becoming easier to whip and control.

  i grew tired of hearing my own voice.. do you feel this way?.

  well, amazingly, i just passed on the book to a sister who knocked my door this morning, after a long, long chat.. what amazed me i suppose after isolating myself in my bubble for many years now, is that jws are basically humans afterall.

  with a great degree of social apprehension towards us ex-jws of course, but never the less, human.. i assured her i had faded away, but still retained a moral code of behaviour.

  she relaxed at that point.
